This section of this page is dedicated to the production of characters. For this project, I will be creating one human character and one robot character.

Human - Cindy Blast

Cindy Blast is a 20 year old girl who enjoys watching YouTube videos to escape from reality, roof jumping, gaming, and art. However, she has a big fear of crocodiles, scorpions, and crabs and a love for blueberry muffins and jammy biscuits. She is very energetic, bright and smart but can be rude and sarcastic when talking to people. Her full name is Morweena Cindy Blast. However, she dislikes her first name and goes by Cindy instead. She's average height with pale skin, green eyes and brown hair which she often wears in braids.
Cindy is very independent, she prefers to do things on her own and dislikes relying on others however she is very loyal and will do anything for her friends as she has no family left they are all she has.
Cindy had to drop out of school to look after her sick little brother, Nico Blast, who passed away two years ago at the age of 10 due to living conditions. The reason for their poor lifestyle was a result of abandonment by their father, Walter Blast, five years ago. He had left the two of them in order to hide from some people whom he owed debt to. Walter was a big art enthusiast and taught Cindy everything she knows. After her mother, Eliana Blast, died when giving birth to her little brother Cindy had become very close with her father and they had often done things together until the last year before his disappearance when he had kept a big secret from his two children.
In order to look after her brother now that both parents were no longer around, Cindy had to manage by doing odd jobs and pickpocketing which kept her in good shape.
Ever since a short while after her brothers death, Cindy hasn't lived in a proper home. She has been hiding out in an old war bunker near the city borders in hiding. She'd often go back into the city to do delivery jobs across roof tops and although it only provided enough money little necessities Cindy found that she enjoyed jumping from roof to roof to get to her destination. She often found that the daily journey was relaxing.
Her most recent relationship was with an IT technician called Samuel Patterson, who was two years older than her. They broke up because Samuel wanted a quieter life than what Cindy could provide with her lifestyle so they decided to remain friends and he is now helping Cindy with things such as hacking and staying hidden.
Her best friend is called Jessie McCarthy and the two girls were inseparable until a few months ago when Jessie suddenly went missing. Before her disappearance, Jessie worked as an office worker in the city center (currently 21). Upon hearing of Jessie's disappearance, Cindy decided to go and search for her friend collecting information and data whilst also receiving info from Samuel. This search for Jessie is what brings her to the city center where she meets JP and learns a lot of Tobor's dark secrets.

Robot - Junior Project

Junior Project 3.4 is an abandoned robot that was created by Ryan Jacobs, the son of the owner of a tech company called Tobor Technology. When Junior Project 3.4 first meets Cindy she thinks it's a mouthful to say this every time she wants to address the robot so she gives him the nickname of JP.
JP meets Cindy when accidentally brings back power to his body while trying to steal. He is fast at picking up things through Cindy's guidance but has many skills that he cannot unlock on his own as his creator went missing 7 years ago. At the time his creator was 18 and being the son of the owner of the tech company his dad taught him the skills he needed in order to take over the business. After his disappearance, any news articles questioning events that took place and his whereabouts were quickly taken down by his father.
When JP first meets Cindy, he can only see a limited amount of colours which are green, yellow, orange and red. However, further on in the future he discovers that his favourite colour is blue. This is because Ryan had designed him to be constantly improving with time and the environment around him like humans learn new skills such as cooking and engineering. In theory, JP was built to be like a child however his learning process was a lot faster than a humans would be. Due to the abandonment forcing JP to stop working he was not shut down properly and this meant that he couldn't access specific parts of his memory which is uncovered at a later date.
JP got his name through Ryan's childhood memories after growing up around advanced robots for the majority of his life. While growing up his dad often left the robots to look after Ryan so that he could work on his company development. His father would always tell Ryan that the robots were his seniors and he should follow what they tell him to do and not cause trouble. The number 3.4 came from something his mum used to say to Ryan about her favourite number to comfort him when he was sad - His mum's favourite number was 34 she said it was because it was supposed to be the 3 of them, Mum, Dad and Ryan forever. Ryan thought this was cheesy but he loved it and he kept it in his memory of his mum when she passed away.
Ryan's mother died in a battle with cancer and after that his father never treated Ryan the same he was cold and distant and only cared about appearance and the company. This encouraged him to take what his father previously taught him further. It started off as something to receive recognition and attention however, Ryan found that he began to really enjoy creating robots and building technology and this lead to him becoming one of the greatest tech geniuses in the city before he went missing.
Setting the scene
The story takes place in an advanced city called (unnamed) just by the sea. This is a big city with a large tech company called Tobor based in the city centre, with an atmosphere the looks very much like the streets of New York. The people that live in the city live side by side with the robots made by Tobor.At the edge of the city is where the border is, this is where those who disagree with the law for robots or lack the money to stay in the city live. Not many choose to live here but there is a small overgrown village where robot scraps go and the houses look a little abandoned with greenery that's overgrown however, its inhabitants make the place cosy and homely. This is where the main character Cindy Blast moved to with her little brother Nico after their father had abandoned them in the big city. They both liked it here where the residents had become a community that had each other's backs during difficult times the village faced.The journey from the city center to the village just beyond the border is half a day's journey. The city has a lot of high rise buildings and Cindy spends a lot of her time in the back alleys and roof jumping. The city consists of a lot of blues, greens and purples in colours to signify the worth of the city and imply its inhabitants are of high class and wealthy (colour symbolism).There are two railways that act almost as crossroads at the center of the city. The streets are never too busy throughout the day as many people prefer to take the train rather than drive or have their robots drive them places. Many families in the city have at least one robot of their own that acts as a butler, guide, nanny, tutor or other. Although this is more costly than hiring real people to do these jobs the civilians found it simpler to have robots.The city has no appointed leader however being the main face of the biggest tech company that runs all the electronics in the city the owner of Tobor, William Jacobs has taken that role into his hands running things with his robots.Outside of daylight hours, the city is often patrolled by robots and those close to William so that he knows everything that is going on. However, the police force is mainly made up of robots as William wanted to reduce the risk of people starting an uprising as he wanted full control. The city is built into 4 quarters each for the different social levels within the city. The closer you are to the sea the higher your social status is.Just off the coast from the city, there is a small island that William keeps on lockdown and secret from the rest of the city. This is where he keeps his biggest projects as well as performs different kinds of tests.
