The Family Board started off as an idea for my final project in my second year of college. 

 

For this project, I wanted to create a 2D animation that was personal to me. Following this thought process I considered all the possibilities for the kind of animation I could do:

• TV introduction

• Ambient loop

• Episode for a TV series

• Film trailer

• Documentary

• Podcast

Eventually I settled for the option of a TV series introduction. This meant that I could continue the project after submitting my final piece and make it into the TV series.

Next was deciding the contents of the TV introduction and in order to do that, I had to think about what the series as a whole could be about. This is where I chose to do a Slice of Life style TV series based on the everyday memorable events that take place in my household.
